Q - Your first question might be... "Why would I want to change my screen resolution, and what does that mean"?

A - The reason for having a higher screen resolution is because you can see more on your screen without having to scroll.  Most computers are defaulted at 800x600 screen resolution, but the newer models can go higher.

Q - Will things be smaller on my screen?

A - Yes, but it doesn't take long to get used to it and you'll really like NOT having to scroll up and down and sideways all the time.  In fact, when you have scroll bars on the page, they also take up even more room.

Q - What if I don't like the higher resolution, can I change back?

A - Yes, its very easy to change the resolution.

Q - Ok... so how do I change my screen resolution?

Step 1 - Go to your desktop (the screen you go to whenever you boot up your computer)

Step 2 - Click your right mouse button (the button on the right of your mouse) on the desktop (but not on top of an icon).

That will bring up a screen that looks something like this
depending on which operating system you are using.
(Windows 2000/2003/XP)

Step  3 - Click on the Tab that says "Settings"

Step 4 - Slide the bar under the caption "Screen resolution" until it says 1024 by 768 and then click ok.

IMPORTANT: Once you have done that, your computer will show you what the screen will look like, and ask if you want to keep those settings.  click yes if you do, but if you do nothing, the screen will go back to where it was before you changed it.
